The Living Road

Lhasa de Sela, 1972 – 2010

The Rusty Convertible, a jewellery piece by Lorelei Eurto appeared in the 2009 edition of The Best of Stringing.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and since Lorelei provided the instructions, here is my knock-off, with a nod to Lhasa de Sela’s gypsy rambling, entitled Small Song. It incorporates the same happy little polymer clay Bumblebeads that Lorelei used, designed by StoriesTheyTell .

Thank you for posting this tribute–I didn’t know Lhasa had died. I first heard her music at a summer concert in Karlsruhe, Germany–her husky voice and wild stories and rapport with the audience were thrilling. What a gift she was.

  2. Jan, your necklace turned out just fabulous! :-)
